But just as we come down from one big launch we are counting down to another. This upcoming Thursday (Oct. 1), NASA plans to launch the Crew-13 mission, and the SpaceX rocket and spacecraft that will get the astronaut crew to space are already on the launch pad. Looking at spaceflight way farther into the future, Boeing announced yesterday that they won't be launching their Starliner spacecraft with astronauts again until 2028 (and they have a lot of work to do between now and then). This mission will launch a crew of 4 aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft that will liftoff atop a Falcon 9 rocket. The astronauts onboard will include NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov.
