Happy Monday, space fans,
This morning started with a bang. Early this morning, at 8:48 a.m. EDT (1248 GMT; 7:48 a.m. local Texas time), SpaceX's Starship megarocket lifted off in its 14th test flight. The launch sent Starship into orbit for the first time, a major step forward for the vehicle. In the world of strange science, multiple new studies have shown how Saturn's moon Enceladus (the planet's 6th-largest moon) could be a better place to look for life than scientists even previously thought. And back here on Earth, many skywatchers spent Saturday night enjoying views of the Harvest Moon. Whether you did some moon viewing of your own or not this weekend, we've got some incredible photos capturing the moment.

This morning's launch was major. While SpaceX's Starship has had serious ups and downs, they hit success this morning with their first launch to orbit with the vehicle. This is a major win in general for the company, but it's also good news as Starship is part of NASA's plan for its upcoming Artemis 3 mission, which will practice completing a rendezvous maneuver with both Starship and Blue Origin's vehicle Blue Moon. We still can't say how that will all go, as Artemis 3 is an incredibly ambitious mission setting the stage for future lunar landings, but this morning's launch is certainly a big step in the right direction.
