Happy Monday, space fans.
We hope that you had a great weekend. Did you see yesterday's Full Hunter's Moon? It was mighty beautiful. But don't worry if you missed it, we have photos of the lunar spectacle from all over the world. Speaking of the moon, NASA has laid out its plans for the upcoming Artemis 3 mission that will help the agency prepare for a future lunar landing. But when exactly will it actually launch? And back here on Earth, Ukraine is exploring the possibility of creating its own satellite communications network following the recent Starshield activity which blocked the nation's vital communications.
Check out what's big in space below:

Ukraine's military just signed a letter of intent with Nokia and the Finnish satellite maker ICEYE to look into developing a sovereign satellite-communication system for the war-torn nation.

NASA is overhauling how it selects and develops science missions, with changes intended to reduce costs, streamline competition and get missions into space faster.

Earth’s tiny, temporary moons could become some of the easiest asteroid targets for future missions. And we'll likely find more of them soon, thanks to the Rubin telescope.

The fourth season of "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" was one giant gimmick: shoving "Trek" into as many genres as possible and often directly adapting classic films from those genres.

And that's it for our space update today.
We are still reeling from this weekend's Hunter moon. This close to Halloween, perhaps some werewolves were risen by the full moon. (We're joking, of course, but if you happen to run into any werewolves, drop us a line). Looking into the future, while we have a general timeline for NASA's Artemis 3 mission, which is now a bit more complete following the agency's recent announcements, we don't know exactly when the mission will take off. We also don't yet know exactly how it will go, as the mission is supposed to send a crew of four astronauts to practice docking with both SpaceX and Blue Origin's lunar landers, and the companies are still deep in testing for their vehicles.
We could know more in the near-future, however, as in the coming weeks we expect to see SpaceX run another major test with its Starship vehicle. If all things go to plan, it could mean full steam ahead for the company's involvement in Artemis 3. But we will have to wait and see. Up in the night sky, while the Orionids have peaked, you might still spot some in the night sky so don't forget to look up.
