As part of this acquisition, the print and digital media business operating under the "Scientific American" brand from Springer Nature, Inc. will continue being provided and fulfilled by Scientific American, Inc. In order to ensure that your subscription agreement can be fulfilled and to continue to provide our services, your personal data will be transferred to Scientific American, Inc.
The terms under your current subscription agreement will remain and continue. Further, your personal data will continue to be processed for the same purposes and in the same manner as described in the Scientific American Privacy Policy which has been updated and sets out Scientific American, Inc. as the new data controller. Note, from time to time, Scientific American, Inc. may make changes to the Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically check for any updates.
Again, no further action is required from you, and you will continue to receive services. If you would like to cancel your subscription, you may reach out to help@sciam.com at any time with your request, and your subscription cancellation will be processed in accordance with the applicable subscription terms detailed in our Terms of Use.
For any data subject rights requests you would like to make regarding processing of your personal data before the acquisition on June 24, 2026 please submit such requests to dataprotection@springernature.com. After the acquisition on June 24, 2026 please submit your data subject rights requests regarding processing of your personal data to Scientific American, Inc. at help@sciam.com or through any of the methods described in the Privacy Policy linked above.
