NASA Undergraduate Student Design Projects Application Deadline: Monday, Sept. 14 Contact: grc-universityseniorcapstones@mail.nasa.gov NASA’s Undergraduate Student Design Projects initiative invites students to take part in authentic research and design efforts that align with the agency’s current missions. The initiative is part of NASA's effort to collaborate with higher education institutions to better prepare undergraduate students for STEM careers.
Selected student teams gain access to NASA’s scientific and technical expertise, relevant data sets, and structured mentorship to help them successfully complete their projects and deepen their subject-matter skills. Throughout the academic year, NASA specialists offer periodic guidance, while a designated faculty advisor provides ongoing day‑to‑day support. Depending on institutional requirements, participating students will either earn academic credit for their work or apply their project efforts toward their broader coursework.
