Could a new comet be the star of 2026?
After the excitement of three visible comets in 2025, another may put on a show in late April 2026. Its name is C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS) and it's due to reach perihelion — its closest point to the sun — on April 20, 2026. Read more about this comet on our website.

Other headlines for today include a look at upcoming aurora forecasts, which could be seen as far south as New York, a look into the origins of the full moon names for 2026 and a dive into Lego's vs. Playmobil's USS Enterprise set.

We have all that and more for your daily read.
Keep looking up,
