Space & Physics: BREAKING--Artemis II astronauts break Apollo’s distance record

Artemis II astronauts are officially farther from Earth than any human has gone before

April 6—BREAKING—The four astronauts onboard NASA’s Artemis II mission to the moon have officially traveled
farther from Earth than any other human. At 1:56 P.M. EDT today, NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen were more than 248,655 miles (400,171 kilometers) away from our planet. That exceeds the greatest distance from Earth that Apollo astronauts ever flew—a record set in 1970 by the Apollo 13 mission.

Read more in our article below and I'll be back later this evening with another important milestone!
