30 years of sun observation
Today marks the 30th anniversary of NASA and the European Space Agency launching the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) into orbit. The mission was designed to last only 3 years but is still going and has revealed many of the sun's mysteries. We have the full story on our website.

I had the privilege to watch scientists at the Gemini North Observatory in Hawaii capture images of interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS in real time and the studies on how to age this comet are as interesting as they are informative.

Other headlines for today include 53 giant quasars discovered, a powerful X-class solar flare causing radio blackouts and a dying satellite possibly looking at asteroid Apophis before its end.

It's also Trivia Tuesday and we have an Apollo-themed quiz for you puzzlers out there. Think you know all things moon missions? Find out below.

We have all that and more for your daily read.
Keep looking up,
