Thanks to gifts in Wills, the Medical Research Foundation is funding the UK’s only national PhD training programme. Our PhD students, learning about how human waste drives antimicrobial  resistance in our rivers and coastal environment. The multi-disciplinary scheme brings together 30 PhD scientists from all sectors of science, medicine, engineering and social science to lead the UK’s antimicrobial resistance research of the future.
