I never imagined that the biggest story in Science News’ centennial year would be a global pandemic. But it seems fitting that we’re here covering the news , just as we have for the past 100 years – from the discovery of insulin to the atomic age, space exploration, modern computing and the genetics revolution. Our mission since 1921 has been to provide accurate, engaging news of science to the public. That mission has never been more important than it is today.
