March 14 is right around the corner, and math geeks know what that means: Pi Day. So break out your protractors and your pastry tools because it’s almost time to celebrate one of math’s most famous constants: π.

Our Scientists Say: Pi explainer dishes up the basics on this notoriously never-ending number. Meanwhile, news stories showcase a quilter who makes pi-inspired art and a planet named “ Pi Earth” for its 3.14-day orbit.
