Open Science Essentials (OSE) is a concise, stand-alone course built on foundational concepts presented in the Open Science 101 course. The Open Science Essentials course provides introductory knowledge of the principles, practices, and tools necessary to conduct open science. The course covers key topics such as open data, open peer review, and collaborative research practices. Upon course completion, participants will earn a NASA Open Science Essentials digital badge.
