DEVELOP provides paid,10-week research opportunities for participants to address environmental and public policy issues through interdisciplinary research projects that apply the lens of NASA Earth observations to community concerns around the globe. Working in teams and with the support of science advisors and mentors, DEVELOP participants build research and science communication skills that help them succeed in the workforce.

NASA Aeronautics University Student Research Challenge

NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate seeks proposals from students at accredited U.S. colleges and universities for new aeronautics ideas/concepts relevant to NASA aeronautics.


Selected teams will receive grants for their projects and be responsible for raising a modest amount of cost-share funds through a crowdfunding platform. The process of creating and preparing a crowdfunding campaign acts as a teaching accelerator, requiring students to develop entrepreneurial skills.

NASA’s Open Science 101 course provides the foundational knowledge of the principles and best practices for conducting open science. Researchers, students, and the public are invited to register for this free, five-module course to learn about the principles of open science; how to plan, conduct, and participate in open science research projects; legal and ethical considerations when planning open science projects; and open science best practices.

NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking to partner with U.S.-based companies, universities, and non-profit organizations to conduct technology development projects that are mutually beneficial to both the partner institution and NASA.

 

NASA Marshall’s application and refinement of innovative design tools define the agency's leadership in engineering the systems, hardware, and techniques needed to return to the Moon. The goal of this funding opportunity is to create collaborative, resource-sharing projects where the NASA partner is developing a technology primarily for its own public purposes, and NASA can provide financial support or other assistance.
