Happy Friday space fans!
It's a big day for all things space science and news as interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS begins its Mars flyby today. The European Space Agency's Jupiter and Mars probes will be turned to watch this object as it makes its way toward the sun. Keep your eyes on our website as we continue covering this story.

Other headlines for today include a new image from the James Webb Space Telescope of supermassive black hole M87 giving the clearest details yet, new updates on potential biosignatures from Mars Perseverance rover and the Chinese asteroid sampling probe taking a selfie with Earth. We have all that and more for your daily read.

It's also Friday so as we head into the weekend we have your weekly staff recommendations of "what we're reading/playing/watching." You'll find those suggestions from our team at the bottom of your newsletter.

Keep looking up,
Kenna
