It's the end of the week, and we're ending with some big activity, as the SpaceX Crew-11 astronaut launch has a second attempt today after being scrubbed yesterday due to weather.  We have a link for the launch on our website so be sure to check it out.

Other stories for today include a new study on the famous double-slit experiment, the James Webb Space Telescope seeing 'sun dogs,' and a small lake in Quebec mysteriously emptying almost overnight.

It's Friday, which means we also have some staff recommendations for books, games and shows as we head into the weekend. You can find those recs at the bottom of the newsletter. We have all that and more for your daily read.

Thanks for exploring with us.

Keep looking up,

Editor's Note

It's Friday, which means it's time to kick back, recharge and dive into something stellar. Whether you're looking to unwind with a mind-bending sci-fi series or lose yourself in a video game, we've got you covered. Here's what the Space.com team is enjoying this weekend: our latest recs to inspire, entertain, and fuel your curiosity about the universe.

Ian Stokes, Entertainment Channel Editor: "I played The Invincible, sci-fi game, based on a polish novel, very cool. Deals with self replicating robots... sort of a proto grey goo scenario. Very retro 1950s sci-fi aesthetic."

Monisha Ravisetti, Astronomy Channel Editor: "I would recommend, the book "White Holes" by Carlo Rovelli. I read it some time ago but still my fave science book to date."

Vanessa Jewell, Social Media Manager: "I've been enjoying "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters." It's by the same author who wrote "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies." I saw it at half price books; I had no idea there was another one so obviously had to get it."
