Happy Thursday space fans!

We have lots of news to share with you today, starting with a recent Senate Commerce Committee hearing warning leaders that the U.S. is in real danger of losing the moon race to China. "Senate committee meetings are not what come to mind when you think of the technological footrace the U.S. has entered against China to land astronauts on the moon, but NASA's former Administrator Jim Bridenstine was all but screaming during yesterday's hearing that we are going to lose," says our staff reporter Josh Dinner, who covered the story.

Other headlines for today include a radical new Big Bang theory that could change how we think about the early universe, a look at 'StarCraft 2' 15 years later and the launch of an Israeli spy satellite briefly sparking mass panic. We have all that and more for your daily read.

Thanks for exploring with us.
Keep looking up,
