NASA offers several opportunities for students to undertake meaningful and challenging projects that prepare them for successful entry into the nation's workforce. NASA interns learn key technical skills and career readiness competencies while contributing to NASA’s mission.

 

Applications for fall 2025 internships are due Friday, May 16.

Last Call: Host an In-Flight STEM Downlink

There are only a few days left for U.S.-based formal and informal STEM organizations to submit proposals to host a downlink during International Space Station Expedition 74, which runs September 2025 – March 2026.

 

In-flight STEM downlinks are 20-minute live video Q&A opportunities with astronauts aboard the station.


Proposals are due Tuesday, April 29!

Join us for a virtual event featuring one of the Career Technical Education (CTE) jobs at NASA helping to shape the future of transportation, technology, and exploration.

 

At this event, participants will chat with one of NASA’s skilled sheet metal experts as he talks about the fabrication, modification, and repair of metal components. He will discuss his job and the skills necessary to provide this critical service to NASA’s spacecraft and aircraft. The session will conclude with a Q&A opportunity about the presenter’s career journey.
