EDUCATION EVENTS Explore Star Formation with the ASTHROS mission Educator Workshop – ASTHROS Mission When: Saturday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. PDT (1 p.m. to 3 p.m. EDT) Where: In-person Target Audience: Educators for grades 2-12 Overview: This workshop for educators will take place at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. It will highlight NASA's ASTHROS mission. ASTHROS is a high-altitude balloon mission launching from Antarctica in December to study how stellar feedback influences star formation. We will hear from the mission project manager and technical lead, Jose Siles, and learn how you can incorporate the science and engineering of this mission into your classroom with NGSS-aligned lessons.
