Researchers have successfully grown mouse embryos aboard the ISS for the first time. This represents "the first-ever study that shows mammals may be able to thrive in space." This new mouse embryo study is a big deal because it suggests humans can reproduce in space someday.

'Bones' of cosmic hand revealed in NASA X-ray telescope

The "ghostly hand" - formally known as MSH 15-52 - was created by the the death of a massive star. This catastrophic event, called a supernova explosion, left behind a fast-spinning, superdense stellar corpse known as a pulsar.

FAA wraps up safety review of SpaceX's Starship rocket

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced Oct. 31 that it has wrapped up its Starship safety review, which assesses the risks that a launch might pose to public health and property. However, there's still another regulatory box to check before SpaceX can get a license for the next Starship liftoff.

Juno probe detects organic compounds on Ganymede

Nearby Jupiter has such a strong magnetic field that organic compounds and salts on the surface of Jovian moons would have a hard time surviving. However, the region around Ganymede's equator appears to be sufficiently shielded from the electrons and heavy ions that emanate from Jupiter's magnetic field to sustain these compounds.
