NASA EXPRESS -- Your STEM Connection for Aug. 31, 2023

Last weekend, the SpaceX Crew-7 astronauts launched to the International Space Station, bringing the current occupancy to 11 astronauts from five different countries. Make a classroom connection with these STEM resources.

Gain Insight Into Spaceflight Innovation

Join the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts Program for its annual symposium in Houston. This event will feature progress presentations from currently funded NIAC Fellows. These presentations will cover a diverse range of research areas including revolutionary exploration systems, novel propulsion, human systems and architectures for extreme environments, and more.

The LSIC 2023 Fall Meeting will be held at the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, and online. The focus will be on the United States, NASA, and the Space Technology Mission Directorate's vision for enabling the development of resilient lunar infrastructure at the South Pole of the Moon during Artemis missions. An optional Transition to Commercial Lunar Operations workshop on Oct. 12 will examine commercial participation in America's return to the lunar surface.
 
More information is available online, and there is no cost to register. All in-person attendees and foreign nationals wishing to attend virtually much register by Sept. 24. U.S. citizens attending virtually must register by Oct. 2.

The GLOBE Program is a worldwide science and education program. NASA’s Earth Science Division is soliciting proposals for an organization or team of organizations to host the GLOBE Implementation Office and collaborate with NASA in the implementation of GLOBE.
