NASA EXPRESS -- Your STEM Connection for July 25, 2024

Celebrate National Intern Day

Today is National Intern Day! We're celebrating the interns who play a critical role in our mission success at every NASA center across the country. Whether they’re supporting Artemis efforts to return astronauts to the Moon, contributing to our social media presence, helping aeronautics innovations take flight, or even chronicling NASA’s rich history, our interns make us proud.

Don't miss the NASA Intern Experience tomorrow at noon EDT.

Join NASA interns and mentors for a virtual event showcasing the vibrant and diverse next generation STEM workforce. Hear firsthand experiences from three current interns and get advice and feedback from three NASA mentors. Learn about NASA internships and get insights into the application process. Explore the many opportunities available and ask questions during a Q&A session.

Celebrating 25 Years of

NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory

On July 23, 1999, NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory launched into space aboard space shuttle Columbia. Since then, Chandra has observed thousands of objects from exploded stars and colliding galaxies to pulsars and quasars to make unparalleled discoveries.

To celebrate 25 years of exploration, the Chandra team has released 25 new high-res images. View the collection, read the visual descriptions, or 3D print the tactile plates for all 25 images. Explore the resources below to learn more about Chandra and X-ray astronomy.
