We’re celebrating Scientific American’s 176th anniversary this month (happy birthday to us!). We published our first issue in 1845 and are now the oldest continuously published magazine in the United States, with a rich archive to show for it. This month we’re looking at some earlier anniversaries, as well as highlights of artificial intelligence and the history of salt. We hope you enjoy the history tour. Please get in touch if you’d like to suggest themes you’d like to see explored from the archive. | ||
