Audience: Faculty at non-R1 higher education institutions
Information Session:
Proposal Deadline: Aug. 15

NASA’s Science Mission Directorate is seeking proposals for two-year research awards of up to $300,000 to faculty/researchers at institutions of higher education classified as non-R1s. Proposers must NOT have received federal funding prior to award. The program encourages proposers from Minority-Serving Institutions, primarily undergraduate institutions, and community colleges to apply. The project requires funding for undergraduate students and requires relevance in one of the Science Mission Directorate’s research goals. Click here to see full proposal guidelines.
Audience: Informal educators
Event Date:
Thursday, June 6, at 3:30 p.m. EDT

NASA’s Universe of Learning, in collaboration with the Museum & Informal Education (MIE) Alliance, provides a Science Briefing series for informal educators covering a range of topics.

T Coronae Borealis, one of the brightest and most famous novae, is predicted to erupt soon, an exciting event that could reach naked-eye brightness. Informal educators are invited join MIE Alliance on NASA CONNECTS to participate in a special briefing to explore our understanding of how these explosions work and how astronomers study them.

All series recordings are archived and made available online.
